Job Description

Role Purpose
  • Lead and manage a team of Analysts for Initial and Quarterly Review
  • Analysis of Solutions as part of Quarterly Risk Profiling
  • Carrying out Initial Risk Profiling assessments
  • Research and Analysis on topics in Investing
  • Assisting the Chief Investment Strategist in Asset Allocation and Capital Market Assumptions processes
Key Responsibilities
  • To manage the Quarterly Risk Profiling and Initial Risk Profiling process and co-ordinate the delivery of their reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Due diligence of solutions for Initial Risk Profiling reports and ensure delivery in a timely manner.
  • Analysis of Asset classes with a view on asset allocation and formulation of Capital Market Assumptions
  • Highlight, research and develop procedures for production of Risk Profiling reports and Quarterly Reviews.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stake holders to ensure operational efficiency for Dynamic Planner processes.
  • Communication with Fund Management clients
KPIs and Measures
  • All Fund Risk Profiling updates are accurate and communicated within agreed timelines.
  • All external material and reports are produced to a very high degree of accuracy & quality.
  • Feedback from within the team and the ability to support and work productively in team environment.
Key Deliverables
  • To manage a team of Analysts.
  • To support the delivery of the Quarterly review in association with the analysts.
  • To disseminate changes for any fund related risk profile changes across internal Dynamic Planner stakeholders.
  • To support the issue and updates to Dynamic Planner and other regular reports and provide second line quality control.
  • To support the development set up and ongoing population of an internal funds database.
  • Communication with Asset Management clients
Key Stakeholders
  • Investment Services management team and analysts
  • Investment Services sales team
  • Dynamic Planner product and data management teams
  • External asset manager clients (product specialists & marketers)
Competencies (knowledge/skills/experience)
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in either Investment Risk or Fund Management experience, with experience in managing teams
  • Highly numerate and with good knowledge of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction
  • High levels of knowledge on Financial Modelling techniques
  • In depth knowledge of Programming in R, Python, Matlab
  • Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel (including VBA) and Databases (including SQL)
  • Highly organized, methodical and operationally focused.
  • Excellent written/oral communications skills
  • Good Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Has completed Level I and II of CFA examinations
  • Another European language would be an advantage
Education & Qualifications Undergraduate/ Post graduate Degree educated in a highly numerate subject like Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance
