Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant – Investment Services

Location: Work from home with travel to client sites, UK with potential for European travel.

Role Purpose:

The role of the Principal Solutions Consultant is to support business development consultants working on larger and more complex sales opportunities by providing technical support about how Dynamic Planner and its investment services work and how they will add value to the client.

Objectives:

  1. To support business development consultants in the sale of Dynamic Planner to larger financial advice firms and wealth managers by:
    1. Understanding and mapping their current advice and financial planning processes and systems
    2. Designing enhanced processes which use Dynamic Planner integrated into their organisation
    3. Demonstrating how Dynamic Planner and its investment services can add value to their organisation with a clear return on investment
  2. To respond to requests for proposals or information from prospective clients with technical solutions showing how Dynamic Planner can meet their needs and deliver strong return on investment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working in support of the business development consultants on sales to larger organisations (wealth managers, insurers, banks and large advice firms)
  • Consulting to clients on their current processes and systems to gain a clear picture of what they are looking to achieve, what they use today, and what the challenges are
  • Presenting and demonstrating Dynamic Planner to individuals and groups
  • Designing and presenting solutions which meet client needs based on configuring and integrating Dynamic Planner
  • Acquiring a deep understanding of how Dynamic Planner and its investment services work and how it has added value and transformed existing clients such that you can explain this to prospective clients
  • Leading client interactions including technical presentations and facilitating technical workshops
  • Writing proposals and completing technical requests for a proposal / information
  • Coordinating input from across internal teams as required e.g. proposition, product, investment services, architecture etc
KPIs and Measures
  • Clients and prospective clients who understand how Dynamic Planner and its investment services will drive significant benefits and ROI to their organisation versus alternative solutions, in particular their present architectures
  • Sales made by the Business Development team members supported

Competencies (knowledge/skills/experience):
  • Passionate about the role of financial advice in enhancing client outcomes and the role that technology plays in supporting this
  • An excellent understanding of scale financial planning businesses their processes, challenges and the systems they use for; financial planning, CRM, platform / custody, compliance, workflow, MI, portals, KYC and research etc
  • Experience of successfully implementing and/or using the key systems in and around the financial planning process to deliver measurable gains
  • An outgoing personality, comfortable presenting and facilitating workshops with senior individuals from large organisations
  • Good at influencing others to communicate your ideas and helping them achieve the benefits they are looking for
  • Team player comfortable gaining input from a range of stakeholders both external and internal to agree the optimal solution for the client
  • Ideally a detailed understanding of the advice process, including how technology fits into the process. However, for the right candidate this can be taught
  • General understanding of stochastic modelling and the ability to explain this in lay person’s terms. Full support will be provided to aid understanding here.

  • Sales orientation – while this is not a quota carrying sales role, affinity to the sales process is important
