Job description

Role Purpose:

 

  • Leading planning and implementation of both internal and external projects to achieve organizational targets
  • Empower and lead the team to maximise their potential
  • Provide drive and thought leadership in evaluating and implementing applicable Agile process and methodologies
  • Effectively communicate project status and progress in all relevant forums developing stakeholder confidence
  • Client and Third-Party management (at Senior Management level) on applicable projects or workstreams in UK and Europe

Key responsibilities

  • Guide and coach, the team in following agile practices.
  • Produce project plans and milestones for executing product backlog
  • Help provide vision and direction to the team and stakeholders.
  • Support the Product Owner in planning and prioritising the backlog according to business value.
  • Proactively liaise with clients to ensure successful client implementations.
  • Manage risk, issues, and dependencies of the projects
  • Commercial management at appropriate level
  • Contractual awareness when supporting external clients/third-parties
  • Provide visibility and progress of the projects against the plan to all stakeholders
  • Help ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of well, prepared user stories to work on.
  • Support iteration planning, realisation of user stories and release planning.
  • Ensure impediments impacting successful team completion of sprint goals are removed.
  • Effective stakeholder support and co-ordination
  • Conduct retrospectives and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Keep abreast of agile best practices and new trends.

  • Projects delivered within the agreed constraints or deviations managed through change management process
  • Well managed milestones, dependencies, issues, and risks
  • Energized and supportive team delivering to their full potential.

Competencies (knowledge, skills, experience)

  • 5 -10 years of appropriate experience in Agile product development and delivery
  • Agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to shape projects (both green-field and progressive projects).
  • Self-starter
  • Lean product development
  • Team Management
  • Client and Stakeholder Management
  • Leadership, creative thinking, decision-making, accountability, determination to succeed, team player
  • Wealth Management domain knowledge would be advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Flexibility to support European travel in support of business initiatives is a requirement of the role

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree level education
  • Project management certification
  • Agile certifications
  • A second, European language (French, German, Italian) considered advantageous
